If there’s such a thing as a ‘textbook’ General Auction, then our sale on Tuesday 10 May might just be it!
There are 640 lots with a mixture of the traditional and the modern.
And there is something of most things – furniture, household goods, garden ornaments, dining ware, decorative china, jewellery, coins and collectable items.
If you collect Royal Doulton figurines, then on Tuesday you may have opportunity to buy some more, there are eight in the sale.
One of our more unusual lots is lot number 590 – five sets of Russian Dolls, including a set of the Beatles and Russian leaders.
There are seventeen lots of light oak furniture which were originally bought by the consignor from Haskins of Shepton Mallett. If you’re considering re-furnishing your bedroom or dining room, then think about coming to the saleroom to take a look. The viewing for the auction is on Saturday 7 May from 9am to 1pm, and Monday 9 May from 9am – 7pm.
The auction starts at 10am on Tuesday 10 May. The doors open from 9am and if you’re a new bidder you will need to register before you bid, so please arrive in good time.
And behind the scenes we’re all systems go for our Antiques and Decorative Sale on Tuesday 19 July which will offer live internet bidding. And before then we have a jewellery valuation morning at Potburys shop on Wednesday 18 May (please phone us to make an appointment 01395 517300).
Finally there’s something new on offer at the saleroom…but you can’t see it, you can’t touch it, and you can’t bid for it. In fact, it’s available for free! We are pleased to announce guest wi-fi is now available at Potburys Auctions.
